Ben Hutton and the NY Islanders have agreed on terms as the defenseman will join the organization on a PTO…
The New York Islanders have signed 33-year-old defenseman Ben Hutton to a professional tryout (PTO) amid an ongoing injury crisis on their blue line. Hutton previously spent five seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights, where he won the Stanley Cup in 2023, and attended training camp with the Ottawa Senators earlier this season.
The addition comes as the Islanders deal with extended absences on defense, including Alexander Romanov being sidelined for the season and Ryan Pulock out for several weeks. The team also recently recalled 22-year-old defenseman Isaiah George from the AHL.
