The 49ers lose veteran defensive tackle Kevin Givens as the Indianapolis Colts sign him off San Francisco's practice squad and add him to their 53-man roster.

The Indianapolis Colts have signed veteran defensive tackle Kevin Givens directly off the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. As required by NFL league rules for signing practice squad players, the Colts added the 29-year-old defensive tackle straight to their active 53-man roster.
Givens had originally joined the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in May 2019 out of Penn State. Over seven seasons with San Francisco, he appeared in 71 regular-season games and recorded 95 tackles, 8.0 sacks, and nine postseason appearances.
