Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued to climb the ladder of historic marks in Seattle’s loss to the Bears on Monday Night Football.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba recorded six receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown during a 34-17 loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. The Week 8 defeat dropped Seattle's overall record to 4-4 on the season, with head coach Mike Macdonald highlighting execution and efficiency issues on offense as the team converted just one of 11 third downs.
Despite the defeat, Smith-Njigba achieved his seventh 100-plus receiving yard performance through eight games this season, bringing his 2026 total to 985 yards. He also surpassed Joey Galloway for eighth place on Seattle's all-time receiving list with 4,458 career yards, while teammate Cooper Kupp added Seattle's other touchdown on a 7-yard catch.
