On Tuesday, Grand Rapids Griffins goalie was named AHL Goaltender of the Month for October. He may be getting a recall from the Red Wings.

Detroit Red Wings goaltender John Gibson suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, leaving after the first period. With coach Todd McLellan uncertain about Gibson's status, Grand Rapids Griffins goaltender Michal Postava is expected to be recalled to partner with Daniil Tarasov. Postava was just named the AHL Goaltender of the Month for October.
Postava previously made his NHL debut this season, including a 4-3 shootout victory against the Edmonton Oilers. For the Griffins, Postava has posted a 5-0 record with a 1.20 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage, leading the AHL in save percentage.
