Australian captain Isaah Yeo knows all about the danger posed by his former Panthers teammate. Now, he must find a way to stop him.
Australia captain Isaah Yeo has warned his Kangaroos teammates about the threat posed by former Penrith teammate Jarome Luai ahead of their World Cup clash in Sydney. Australia aims to protect a proud 72-year record of reaching every World Cup final since 1954 when they face Luai's Samoa side on Sunday. Samoa narrowly missed out against Tonga last weekend, falling to a 20-18 defeat in Parramatta despite outscoring them four tries to three.
Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters selected a Queensland-heavy spine featuring Reece Walsh, Cam Munster, Tom Dearden, and Harry Grant, leaving out Latrell Mitchell. Yeo also eased fitness concerns over Munster and Cam Murray after light training sessions, while confirming he expects to finalize a three-year contract extension to remain with Penrith.
