Carson Hocevar does not care about making friends in NASCAR. After he brake-checked Austin Cindric last Sunday at Martinsville, it also became evident that the Spire driver is fine with making enemies as well, and that did not sit well…

23XI Racing spotter Freddie Kraft criticized Carson Hocevar's authenticity on the "Door Bumper Clear" podcast following controversial incidents at Martinsville Speedway. Hocevar brake-checked Austin Cindric, ending Cindric's race, and faced accusations of intentionally spinning out while being lapped by William Byron. Kraft labeled Hocevar's post-race explanations as insincere.
Following the incidents and resulting negative publicity, Spire Motorsports suspended Hocevar from competing in the NASCAR Cup Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Justin Haley will replace Hocevar in the No. 77 Chevrolet, impacting Hocevar's 13th-place position in the season driver standings.
