Los Angeles Lakers forward Ziaire Williams credited playing alongside Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves for his increased shooting efficiency following Monday's 138-117 win over the Miami Heat. Returning from a three-game absence due to a foot injury, Williams scored nine points off the bench, shooting 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and explained that opposing defenses frequently double-team Doncic and Reaves to create open perimeter looks.
Through five games this season, Williams is posting career-best shooting marks of 55.9 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 10.8 points. Williams noted that the Lakers are improving at exploiting the 4-on-3 advantages created when opponents trap Doncic, praising the team's unselfishness and versatility.
