Sam Darnold will miss Sunday’s game with a quad injury, putting Drew Lock back under center against the team he threw three touchdowns against in Week 2.

The Seattle Seahawks will start quarterback Drew Lock against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 8, head coach Mike Macdonald announced. Starting quarterback Sam Darnold will miss the Week 9 matchup due to a quad injury, elevating Lock to the starting role with Jalen Milroe serving as the backup.
Seattle does not plan to place Darnold on injured reserve, leaving open the possibility of a return before the Week 11 bye. Lock previously started against Arizona in September, throwing three touchdowns to Jaxon Smith-Njigba in a 31-7 Seahawks victory.
