Giovanni Malagò has filed his candidacy for the fresh December 14 election as FIGC President and will be against former Milan and Monza chief Adriano Galliani.

Giovanni Malagò has officially filed his candidacy for the upcoming Italian Football Federation (FIGC) presidential election scheduled for December 14. He will face competition from former AC Milan and Monza executive Adriano Galliani. Malagò's submission was co-signed by 11 Serie A clubs ahead of the candidate filing deadline on November 4.
Malagò had previously won the FIGC presidential election in June, but the result was declared null and void on October 6 due to improper paperwork. While Malagò was appointed special commissioner in the interim, key factions including the Players' Association and the Coaches' Association have shifted their support to Galliani.
