Roma once again threw away a two-goal Champions League advantage in a 3-2 defeat to Manchester United, as after dominating the first half, they repeated past mistakes.

Manchester United mounted a stunning second-half comeback to defeat AS Roma 3-2 in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford. Roma took an early 2-0 lead through an 11th-minute strike by Matias Soule and an 18th-minute penalty converted by Donyell Malen. However, the Italian side collapsed in the second half, allowing United to turn the match around and secure victory.
Bruno Fernandes initiated the comeback with a retaken 58th-minute penalty after an encroachment call by VAR. Matheus Cunha then netted twice in the 83rd and 86th minutes to seal the win, capitalizing on a Leonardo Balerdi mistake before finishing a Shea Lacey assist. Cunha was later sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card.
