The Australian quick took 2 for 14 in a T20 comeback for Scarborough and prepares for a warm-up match against England as Australia's pace attack enters a transition phase.
Australian fast bowler Lance Morris has returned to competitive cricket after a 12-month injury absence, claiming 2 for 14 in a T20 match for Scarborough in Western Australia Premier Cricket. The 28-year-old had been sidelined since March 2025 following pars stabilisation surgery for a lumbar bone-stress injury, which forced him to miss the entire 2025-26 season.
Morris is now scheduled to represent Western Australia in a 50-over warm-up match against England at the WACA. His return comes as Australia's pace attack faces a generational transition, with senior bowlers Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, and Scott Boland all advancing in age.
