Michal Postava gets another shot with the Red Wings

Following an injury to goaltender John Gibson during a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Detroit Red Wings may need to rely on Michal Postava. The Grand Rapids Griffins recalled Carter Gylander from the Toledo Walleye, signaling a potential NHL opportunity for Postava. Postava recently earned AHL Goaltender of the Month honors after an impressive October, recording a 1.20 goals against average and a league-leading .955 save percentage.

Octopus Thrower's Katy Glaza argues that Postava should receive NHL ice time and potentially split duties with Danil Tarasov. While acknowledging potential durability concerns, Glaza contends that Postava is Detroit's most viable goaltending option ahead of prospects Trey Augustine and Carter Gylander as the team navigates upcoming schedule adversity.
