After recording only two carries in Week 8, head coach Klint Kubiak clarifies how he views Ashton Jeanty's role on the Las Vegas Raiders.

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak stated that he still views running back Ashton Jeanty as a potential bell-cow back, despite a recent reduction in carries. The clarification came ahead of Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers after Jeanty logged just two rushes for nine yards in a Week 8 victory over the New York Jets.
Kubiak explained that carries between Jeanty and fellow back Mike Washington Jr. will be handled on a week-to-week basis to drive internal competition. Washington carried the ball 25 times for 83 yards against the Jets, while Jeanty contributed primarily as a receiver with three catches for 63 yards.
