Shedeur Sanders fires back at reporter over agent question as Browns face QB decision

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders pushed back at a reporter who asked why he recently hired an agent, replying, "What’s that have to do with this game?" The exchange occurred on Wednesday ahead of Cleveland's upcoming matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Sanders recently hired agent Adie von Gontard on October 14, having previously navigated the 2025 NFL Draft and the start of his professional career without representation.

Sanders took first-team practice reps on Wednesday as starting quarterback Deshaun Watson entered concussion protocol following a hit against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Browns offensive coordinator Todd Monken indicated Watson would remain the starter if cleared. However, Sanders is currently being prepared to start on Sunday against the Saints if Watson cannot play.
