Winnipeg Ember FC reveals name and crest ahead of 2027 NSL expansion season

The Northern Super League's first expansion club officially revealed its name as Winnipeg Ember FC and unveiled its new crest ahead of its planned 2027 debut. The club becomes the league's seventh team alongside founding sides in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax. The team's brand colors are inspired by the Manitoba sky, featuring shades of pink, purple, white, and gold, with a central sundog featured in the logo design.

Club founders Desiree Scott and Rob Gale, alongside president Dayna Spiring, will next focus on hiring a head coach and signing players for the inaugural roster. The franchise also announced plans to build a soccer-specific stadium at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex.
