Jack Grealish reportedly went out drinking in London and Wilmslow during the week before Everton's match against Arsenal, which he ultimately missed through illness. The 31-year-old Everton loanee went out on Monday and Tuesday nights but still attended club training during the day on Tuesday before being ruled out for the weekend fixture.
Grealish subsequently missed a League Cup clash against Newcastle United due to an official breach of club discipline, as well as a later Premier League match over fitness concerns. Reports from The Athletic indicate his absences and missed training sessions may have stemmed from reporting in sick following his nights out.
