Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement with 16-year-old JJ Gabriel over a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement with 16-year-old Manchester United academy player JJ Gabriel ahead of a potential January move. Gabriel, who requested to leave Old Trafford in September and has not trained with the club since, is currently in Spain maintaining his fitness. A FIFA loophole allows European clubs to sign young players to professional contracts if they hold a European passport, which Gabriel qualifies for through his parents.
Manchester United previously considered legal action to secure greater compensation, although no club-to-club contact has taken place yet. Gabriel's camp had requested immediate de-registration to become a free agent, citing dissatisfaction over first-team opportunities. Other major clubs, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich, also monitored the teenager before Real Madrid moved ahead in negotiations.
