Former Rangers technical director Nils Koppen should have followed Nuno Espirito Santo out the door, according to Harry Redknapp, who claims incoming West Ham boss Scott Parker is inheriting the club's worst squad in more than 65 years.
Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp has demanded that recruitment chief Nils Koppen be sacked alongside manager Nuno Espirito Santo. Speaking on talkSPORT, Redknapp claimed incoming manager Scott Parker is inheriting the club's worst squad in over 65 years following poor recruitment in the Championship.
Redknapp questioned the club's spending on average players, specifically noting the £22m signing of former Celtic midfielder Arne Engels. He argued that Parker's chances of securing promotion back to the Premier League rely entirely on holding recruitment personnel accountable and improving squad quality.
