Queensland Reds coach Vern Cotter has named six capped Wallabies in a 31-man squad to tour Japan and Italy.

Queensland Reds coach Vern Cotter has selected utility back Izaia Perese in a 31-man squad for an upcoming four-match tour of Japan and Italy. Perese returns to the Reds for the first time since June 2018 following previous stints with the NSW Waratahs, Bayonne, and Leicester Tigers. The squad features six capped Wallabies, including fellow off-season recruit Cadeyrn Neville, alongside Matt Faessler, Aidan Ross, Zane Nonggorr, and Tom Lynagh.
The tour begins in Japan with matches against the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights, including an initial fixture and a full-cap clash on November 14. Queensland will then travel to Europe to face an Italy XV on November 20 before concluding the tour against Benetton Rugby. General Manager of High Performance Sam Cordingley noted the tour aims to develop players outside Super Rugby.
