The Six Nations and Sanzaar unions have reached an agreement to collectively sell their global media rights and commercial deals under a new revenue-sharing model. Under this arrangement, southern hemisphere nations will earn a share of profits from the Six Nations and British & Irish Lions tours, while European nations will gain revenue from the Rugby Championship and the New Zealand-South Africa rivalry series.
A newly established rights management agency run by the 10 Nations Championship founding unions will manage the sales. The new commercial and sponsorship setup is scheduled to begin in 2028, with pooled television rights auctions starting from the 2030 cycle.
