He chose double zero because of... Greg Ostertag?! Ostertag isn't exactly obscure to Utah Jazz fans, but it's still a funny reason. Anyway, it's funny because Clarkson has had an Ostertag-like transition recently.

Former Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson revealed he chose jersey number 00 because of former Jazz center Greg Ostertag. In an interview with The Athletic's James Edwards III, Clarkson explained that when arriving in Utah, Ostertag was the only player he remembered from childhood whose number was not retired. Clarkson decided to keep wearing the number after joining the New York Knicks.
Writer Matt John noted that Clarkson and Ostertag left distinct impressions on the franchise despite having contrasting playing styles. Clarkson previously secured an NBA title with the Knicks while receiving over $10 million in dead money from Utah after departing the franchise.
