Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised striker Viktor Gyokeres following his man-of-the-match display in a 2-1 Champions League victory away at Slavia Prague. Gyokeres assisted Noni Madueke's early opener before curling in a first-half goal of his own. Arteta highlighted that the fixture suited the Swedish forward, noting that he exploited open spaces and remained well connected with his teammates throughout the match.
Despite Gyokeres recording 29 touches and 17 completed passes in the win, writer Ed Davison expects Kai Havertz to return to the starting lineup for the upcoming Premier League clash against Hull City. Havertz was an unused substitute against Slavia Prague after scoring the winner against Liverpool, with Arsenal aiming to extend their lead at the top of the table.
