Michael Golding is yet to start a League Two game for Shrewsbury Town, and Leicester City may need to rethink his loan in January.

The72's James Ray argues that Leicester City should consider recalling 20-year-old midfielder Michael Golding from his loan spell at Shrewsbury Town in January. Golding joined the League Two side late in the summer window on a senior loan, but he has struggled to secure consistent playing time under manager Gavin Cowan, totaling just 115 minutes of league action so far.
Leicester City originally signed Golding from Chelsea for £4 million in the summer of 2024. Ray emphasizes that with the midfielder entering the final year of his contract next summer, Leicester must evaluate whether to relocate him elsewhere in January to ensure his development continues.
