The Minnesota Timberwolves were hoping to get a key piece of their rotation back in Houston, and the final injury report brought an update on Terrence Shannon Jr.

Minnesota Timberwolves wing Terrence Shannon Jr. has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets due to a left hip contusion. Shannon was initially listed as questionable before Timberwolves PR downgraded his status to out in their afternoon injury report. He joins sidelined teammates Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo on the injury list for a second consecutive contest.
Shannon previously missed Minnesota's 112-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, marking his first absence of the season. Through seven appearances this season, Shannon is averaging 12.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 22.0 minutes per game off the bench, while shooting 39.4 percent from three-point range.
