Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni expressed how much he misses Jalen Hurts as the team prepares to face the New York Giants. Hurts was placed on injured reserve following a blood clot diagnosis after the Eagles' game in London and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Sirianni confirmed he remains in constant communication with the quarterback, who is currently resting and recovering.
Former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb also shared an encouraging update, stating that Hurts is in good spirits. In Hurts' absence, backup quarterback Tanner McKee has taken over the starting role. The Eagles have struggled since the injury, losing three consecutive games to fall to 2-6 heading into Week 9.
