Jason Robertson would address a major need for the Sabres, but it would have to come with a long-term commitment in Buffalo.

Nate Duffett of Sabre Noise argues that the Buffalo Sabres should target Dallas Stars winger Jason Robertson in a blockbuster trade to fix their offensive struggles. Buffalo currently ranks 18th in goals per game, and Duffett believes pursuing Robertson could provide the scoring boost the team needs alongside Tage Thompson.
Robertson signed a one-year deal with Dallas after trade talks with the Seattle Kraken fell through, and he is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2027. Duffett suggests Buffalo make a move before the trade deadline to outbid potential offseason suitors.
