Johnny Walker wanted to take it slow after moving up to heavyweight, but he's facing a top 10 opponent in just his second fight.

Johnny Walker stated that his heavyweight division trajectory is moving faster than originally anticipated ahead of UFC Vegas 124 in Las Vegas. Although Walker intended to build a gradual progression at heavyweight, he accepted accelerated opportunities after the UFC reached out.
Walker is set to face Waldo Cortes-Acosta in the main event at the Meta Apex facility. Ahead of the bout, Cortes-Acosta claimed he expects to secure a knockout win over Walker on the fight card.
