A time mentioned on the side of Fenerbahçe, where many supporters dreamed of his arrival, Didier Deschamps will not become…
Didier Deschamps will not take over as Fenerbahçe manager following the departure of Ismail Kartal. Despite fan speculation linking the former France boss to the Turkish club, Fenerbahçe's management has officially announced the return of 46-year-old Emre Belözoğlu as head coach. Deschamps continues to be linked with potential moves to Manchester United and Juventus.
Belözoğlu replaces interim manager Dirk Kuyt, marking Fenerbahçe's fifth managerial change in 2026 alone. Kuyt had briefly stepped in following a derby loss to Galatasaray, but Belözoğlu now officially returns to the club he previously managed in 2021 after a 24-year professional playing career.
