Demidov has been out since early October with a lower-body injury.

Montreal Canadiens winger Ivan Demidov suffered a fractured ankle during the preseason, his agent Dan Milstein revealed on DFO Insider. Demidov had originally been sidelined in early October with an unspecified lower-body injury after playing through discomfort in Montreal's first two regular-season games, where he recorded a goal and an assist.
Following an MRI, Demidov was initially ruled out for two to four weeks. Milstein confirmed Demidov is still weeks away from returning to the lineup as he continues his recovery.
