Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic continued a historic start to the season, recording 40 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in a 116-103 victory over the Sacramento Kings. Doncic became the first player in NBA history to record at least 35 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five 3-pointers across six consecutive games.
Through eight games, Doncic has scored 408 total points, the highest mark since Wilt Chamberlain scored 418 in 1962-63. He has also surpassed San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama as the betting favorite for the MVP award.
