Even though the Kansas City Chiefs' pass rush has been underwhelming this season, George Karlaftis is finally playing up to his big contract.

KC Kingdom's Ernesto Cova argues that Kansas City Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis is finally justifying his four-year, $88 million contract extension. Despite a sluggish overall pass rush under defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, Cova highlights that Karlaftis is producing an All-Pro-caliber season through the first seven games.
While Karlaftis has recorded just 2.0 sacks, Cova emphasizes his advanced metrics, which include 34 pressures, 16 quarterback hits, and an NFL defensive-end-leading five batted passes. With the November 10 trade deadline approaching, Cova calls on general manager Brett Veach to acquire defensive reinforcements to support Karlaftis and Patrick Mahomes.
