Middlesbrough rival Scott Parker’s ‘confident’ promotion claim after dramatic first West Ham game

New West Ham United manager Scott Parker has expressed strong confidence in securing Championship promotion following his first match in charge, a 3-3 draw against Cardiff City. Parker was appointed on the morning of the game as the replacement for Nuno Espirito Santo. After falling 3-0 behind at half-time, West Ham mounted a dramatic second-half comeback to claim a point at Cardiff.

The draw left promotion favorites West Ham five points behind league leaders Middlesbrough, who lost 2-0 to Wrexham on the same night. Parker pointed to his previous successful promotion campaigns with Fulham, Bournemouth, and Burnley, asserting his belief that West Ham is a Premier League club. Middlesbrough are scheduled to visit West Ham on December 8.
