4 White Sox players receive rightful recognition for breakout with Silver Slugger nomination

Four Chicago White Sox players have been named finalists for the 2026 Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger Awards. Second baseman Chase Meidroth, third baseman Miguel Vargas, outfielder Tristan Peters, and utility player Sam Antonacci all received nominations following breakout campaigns. Additionally, the White Sox organization was named a finalist for the Team Silver Slugger award after leading the American League in runs scored during the 2026 season.

Noah Phalen of Southside Showdown argues that Meidroth should be favored over Twins infielder Kody Clemens due to superior on-base numbers and WAR. However, Phalen views Vargas, Peters, and Antonacci as underdogs in their respective categories against strong competition, such as Rays third baseman Junior Caminero and Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle. Award winners are scheduled to be announced on November 17.
