Derby County forward Sammie Szmodics is expected to be restricted to the sidelines until mid-December after picking up a knee injury ahead of a crucial clash with Bolton Wanderers…

Derby County forward Sammie Szmodics is set to miss approximately six weeks of action as he prepares to undergo knee surgery. Manager John Eustace confirmed the major injury setback ahead of the team's upcoming Championship match against Bolton Wanderers. Szmodics joins an extensive injury list that also includes David Ozoh, Joe Ward, and Ryan Hedges.
The setback adds further scrutiny on Eustace following Derby's poor run of one win in their opening 14 league matches. Despite the pressure, Eustace confirmed he has not held talks with club officials regarding his position and insisted he has no plans to walk away from his role.
