Ipswich Town youth players Josh Bentley and Jayden Adetiba helped the United Arab Emirates reach the final of the U17 Gulf Cup in Qatar. Both players started the final match, but the UAE side fell short of the trophy after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Egypt.
The UAE advanced to the final by topping their five-team group with four consecutive wins before defeating Yemen 1-0 in the semi-finals. Goalkeeper Bentley previously earned caps for the UAE Under-20 side, while winger Adetiba joined Ipswich Town in February 2025 following a successful trial.
