Could the Los Angeles Kings revisit Elias Pettersson talks?

Daily Faceoff analysts David Pagnotta and Jeff Marek discussed whether the Los Angeles Kings could revisit trade discussions with the Vancouver Canucks regarding forward Elias Pettersson. The Kings are reportedly seeking to bolster their top-six forward group and add center depth. Pagnotta speculated that forward Quinton Byfield could potentially serve as a key centerpiece in any hypothetical proposal.

While Pagnotta noted that nothing is currently imminent, he highlighted the Kings' need for more secondary offense alongside Adrian Kempe. Both analysts addressed the potential risks involved for each Pacific Division team, including Vancouver's hesitation over Pettersson thriving elsewhere and Los Angeles parting with a younger, developing talent in Byfield.
