A former Buffalo Sabres goalie has hit the waiver wire.

The New York Rangers have placed veteran goaltender James Reimer on waivers less than two weeks after signing him. Reimer had joined the Rangers late last month on a one-year contract, but the move comes as fellow goaltender Joonas Korpisalo nears a return from injury.
Reimer made a single appearance for the Rangers on October 26 against the Los Angeles Kings, where he was pulled after allowing three goals on eight shots in the first period. The netminder previously spent the 2024-25 season with the Buffalo Sabres, recording a 10-8-2 record before parting ways in the 2025 off-season.
