Colorado Avalanche superstar Cale Makar could walk away today and still be a Hall of Fame worthy candidate.

Writer Nestor Quixtan argues that Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar has already built a resume worthy of the Hockey Hall of Fame, even if he were to retire immediately. Despite playing fewer than 500 regular-season games, the 28-year-old superstar has already accumulated elite team and individual achievements during his first eight seasons in the NHL.
Quixtan highlights Makar's accolades, which include a Stanley Cup, a Conn Smythe Trophy, two Norris Trophies, and the Calder Trophy. With 525 points in 485 games, Makar has led all NHL defensemen in points per game since entering the league, reinforcing the argument that his peak impact alone warrants induction.
