Red Wings RFA Defenseman Simon Edvinsson made a rare appearance as the last month of his negotiationperiod with the Red Wings for this season ticks down.
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson is currently skating at the Nashville Predators' facilities while unsigned, as contract negotiations continue. The Red Wings have under a month to reach a permanent contract deal with the 23-year-old blueliner, who has reportedly preferred a trade away from Detroit.
Detroit interim general manager Shawn Horcoff has stated he does not intend to trade Edvinsson, downplaying recent rumors connecting him to San Jose. Writer Max Smith argues that both sides owe it to the current squad to resolve the contract holdout.
