West Ham are prioritising a new striker for Scott Parker in January and could also sign a centre-back if Konstantinos Mavropanos leaves the club.

West Ham United are prioritising the signing of a new centre-forward for new head coach Scott Parker during the January transfer window. The club's hierarchy and Parker are reportedly in agreement over the need for attacking reinforcements after existing strikers Taty Castellanos and Pablo registered just one Championship goal each this season. Parker recently replaced Nuno Espírito Santo as manager, guiding West Ham to a 3-3 comeback draw against Cardiff City in his opening match.
In addition to seeking a striker, West Ham will reportedly pursue a new centre-back if Konstantinos Mavropanos leaves amid interest from European clubs. Parker has also started putting together his backroom staff, with Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville, Billy Lepine, and Mark Noble joining the coaching setup, while former assistant Paco Jémez will not return.
