The Story in 60 Seconds

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation broke ground on Dodgers Dreamfields 69 and 70 at Charles S. Farnsworth Park in Altadena. Dodger pitchers Blake Snell and Emmet Sheehan participated in the ceremony for the $1.4 million project, which restores two youth fields damaged by the Eaton Fire nearly two years ago in partnership with the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation.

The project supports baseball and softball for youth aged 5 to 12 and will feature upgraded playing surfaces, new irrigation systems, fencing, solar-powered scoreboards, and an interactive STEM Trail. Since 2003, LADF has invested over $21.3 million across 68 Dreamfields, progressing toward a goal of 75 fields completed by 2028.
