Three Brewers, plus team, up for Silver Slugger Award

Following their World Series title, the Milwaukee Brewers and three individual players received nominations for the Silver Slugger Award. Jake Bauers earned nominations at both first base and utility, Brice Turang was nominated at second base, and Jackson Chourio received a nod in left field. The Brewers team is also nominated for best offensive team alongside the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Washington Nationals.

Bauers posted career highs with a .266 batting average, while Turang batted .268 with 21 home runs. Chourio hit 25 home runs, becoming the only player in MLB history with three 20-homer, 20-steal campaigns before turning 23. If all three win, Milwaukee will tie or break its franchise record for most Silver Sluggers in a single season. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, November 17.
