The impressive new Wallabies second-rower had the opportunity – and the right passport – to play rugby in England. But he only had eyes on playing for Australia.
Wallabies second-rower Josh Canham is set to make his Twickenham debut against England despite having English parents and previously considering a move to Northampton Saints. The 25-year-old Melbourne native chose to pursue his international career with Australia and has emerged as a key player for head coach Les Kiss after standout performances earlier this year, including a three-try display against Italy.
Canham is expected to return to the Wallabies starting lineup and resume his duties as the primary lineout caller. Other anticipated squad changes include Len Ikitau returning from concussion, shifting Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii to the wing, while Declan Meredith is expected to retain the starting fly-half role against England.
