The Hornets delivered more bad news on Kon Knueppel ahead of the Celtics game after his long-awaited season debut lasted less than six minutes.

The Charlotte Hornets have ruled out second-year guard Kon Knueppel for Friday's NBA Cup game against the Boston Celtics due to a left hamstring strain. Knueppel made his season debut on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets after missing the first eight games of the season, but he exited after playing less than six minutes.
Knueppel scored three points before leaving Wednesday's 114-104 loss, and head coach Charles Lee noted the team needed time to evaluate him. The Hornets have also ruled out Grant Williams with a hamstring injury, while Moussa Diabate and Dennis Schroder remain questionable heading into the matchup.
