Liverpool plan to launch swoop to trump Man Utd in race to sign 6ft 3in star – report

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move to sign Fenerbahce left-back Archie Brown, aiming to beat Manchester United to the 24-year-old defender. Liverpool have reportedly identified the Englishman as a target to reinforce their left-back position following recent struggles from Milos Kerkez. Brown recently scored a goal and provided an assist against Liverpool during a 3-2 Champions League victory for Fenerbahce.

Manchester United are also monitoring Brown closely amid recurring fitness issues for Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu. Liverpool face further competition from Newcastle United, Everton, and Brighton and Hove Albion, who are all keeping tabs on the defender. Any potential transfer deal would be a permanent acquisition next year.
