The Story in 60 Seconds

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month for October following a productive four-game stretch. The fourth overall pick recorded 21 receptions for 290 yards and one touchdown in October, establishing himself as Tennessee's primary receiving option. Despite missing one game due to a shoulder injury, Tate is expected to return for Week 10 following the team's bye week.

With linebacker Anthony Hill earning Defensive Rookie of the Month honors in September, Tate and Hill became the first rookie tandem in Titans franchise history to receive the awards in the same season. The Titans also became the seventh NFL team since 1996 to have offensive and defensive players earn Rookie of the Month honors in consecutive months.
