The Canucks fell behind early, chased the game, lost structure and defensive coverage down low, to learn another bitter lesson…

The Vancouver Canucks suffered a 6-2 defeat against the Winnipeg Jets, establishing the worst 18-game start in franchise history with a 3-14-1 record. Winnipeg seized control early following an Alex Iafallo power-play goal and a strike from Cole Koepke just 14 seconds later. Liam Ohgren and Brock Boeser scored for Vancouver, but it was not enough to halt the team's slide.
Winnipeg's offense also saw Mark Scheifele score his 20th career goal against Vancouver, while Kyle Connor added two assists. Canucks head coach Manny Malhotra criticized his team's lack of effort, execution, and unnecessary penalties during puck battles. The defeat marks Vancouver's seventh consecutive loss in Winnipeg, leaving the rebuilding squad searching for consistency amid growing defensive struggles.
