The point guard will play for the affiliate team in the G League after having played only 12 minutes so far this NBA season…
The Los Angeles Lakers have demoted point guard Bronny James to their G League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Lakers. Head coach JJ Redick had barely utilized the 22-year-old, prompting the franchise to assign him to the developmental league in search of increased playing time and game development.
Bronny had logged just 12 minutes and 23 seconds across five NBA games this season, recording four points and a minus-27 rating. The assignment follows recent criticism from Redick toward the bench unit, though James previously averaged 18.4 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.0 rebounds across 25 career G League appearances.
