Kevin Viveros furious as offer rejected – Sunderland and Aston Villa circle for January swoop

Kevin Viveros is reportedly furious after Athletico Paranaense rejected a lucrative permanent transfer offer from an undisclosed foreign club. The Colombian striker made it clear to the Brazilian club that he wanted the move, which offered a significant pay rise, but Athletico turned it down. The development comes as Aston Villa and Sunderland continue to track the player ahead of the January transfer window.

Viveros has scored 21 goals in 32 league appearances this season, but his recent form has dipped amid frustrations over the blocked transfer. Aston Villa previously considered an offer exceeding €20m (£17.4m) after making inquiries in October. With the Brazilian season concluding in December, European clubs could make fresh approaches when the transfer window opens.
