The deal for a group of billionaires to buy a minority stake in Liverpool remains on track to pass a deadline set by English football authorities.

The Amit Bhatia-led 1892 Holdings consortium remains on track to finalize a deal for a 38 percent minority stake in Liverpool ahead of a December regulatory deadline. The group is backed by Lakshmi Mittal, Jeff Bezos, and Eduardo Saverin, with Fenway Sports Group maintaining ongoing commitment to the club despite exploratory talks to buy into the Cadillac Formula One team. Meanwhile, 19-year-old midfielder Trey Nyoni has been offered a new contract following his first senior goal against Fenerbahce.
In team news, Jeremie Frimpong is near full fitness but his return is being delayed until after the international break to avoid re-injury. Academy forward Will Wright netted a hat-trick in the UEFA Youth League against Fenerbahce Under-19s, while defender Mor Talla Ndiaye missed the trip to Turkey due to visa issues.
